Who we are.

Sparrow Design was founded in 2001 by artists Matthew Brannon and Michelle Elzay. Sparrow was conceived as a collaborative design workshop.  We bring together the talents of many of the visual artists, designers, architects and artisans to create highly refined and bespoke services for branding and interior design.

What we do.

Driven by a love of the history of design, contemporary art, historic preservation and interior architecture Sparrow designs for life and living in all of its decadent playfulness. Sparrow’s focus forefronts the articulation of our clients personal vision. Whether an event, a room, or a house, our utmost priority is the service of our clients and the articulation of the aesthetic potential of their needs. We prioritize timeless, thoughtful, considered craftsmanship and design.

Michelle Elzay was the recipient of the Nantucket Preservation Trust’s 2013 Architectural Preservation Award for her work on the “Nantucket Captain’s House” and the Nantucket Preservation Trust’s 2016 Architectural Preservation Award for her work on "55 Union".  She now serves on the board of the Nantucket Preservation Trust and continues to work towards the preservation of historical homes.
